In order to enhance the essential skills of great acting, one must be able to “let go
of his/her belief system and adapt to the belief of that character” (TC Carson). They must
strengthen their innate abilities including, but not limited to: living fully in the present,
being led by instinct rather than reason, being responsive to fellow actors in each moment,
active engagement, and bringing their own personal meaning to everything.
